Evaluations are very quick; they usually last about 10 minutes. Players bring their own basketball.

Saturday, October 25th, 2025
10:00 am K/1st Grade (Boys and Girls)
11:15 am 2nd/3rd grades (Boys and Girls)
12:30 pm 4th/5th grades (Boys and Girls)
1:45 pm 6th/7th grades (Boys and Girls)

Sunday, October 26th, 2025
12:00 pm K/1st grade (Boys and Girls)
1:15 pm 2nd/3rd grades (Boys and Girls)
2:30 pm 4th/5th grades (Boys and Girls)
4:00 pm 6th/7th grades (Boys and Girls)
5:15 pm Players who could not attend the above tryouts
(*) All players must attend at least one (1) evaluation (Coaches’ kids must participate in evaluations, too.)

Players will go through some basic basketball drills (i,e hand-eye coordination on the passing bay, dribbling, shooting, etc.).

No evaluations or drafts for 6th/7th grade girls; 8th/9th boys; HS boys and HS girls, as those divisions have teams that are created by parents, players, and/or coaches, thus they do not need to attend evaluations.

How The Teams Are Selected

Teams Decided by Coaches’ Draft

The following teams will participate in the Coaches’ Draft:
K/1st grade (coed)
2nd/3rd grade (Boys & Girls)
4th/5th grade (Boys & Girls)
6th/7th grade (Boys)

Player-Parents Select Their Own Teams
Boys : 8th/9th Grades; 10th-12th Grades
Girls: 6th/7th Grades; 8th/9th Grades; 10th-12th Grades

Practices and Games Schedules

Practices

TBD (Determined by the Head Coach, not parents).  Start in early November.

Regular Season Games and Playoffs

Games start: December 5th (no games during Winter Holiday Break).  Weekend of  12/5; 12/12; 12;19; 1/9; 1/16; 1/23; 1/30; 2/6.  Playoff games may occur during weeknights.

If the Winter Recreation League is postponed or cancelled for any reason, there are No Refunds provided. The circumstances as they relate to postponement or cancellation of the league are out of our control.
