Any use of profanity, threats, accusations, sarcasm, or any other behavior deemed unprofessional may result in the suspension or termination of all accounts associated with the offending user.
2. Credit Card Disputes: Users who initiate a credit card dispute against NSID may face suspension or termination of their accounts. Additionally, the user will be responsible for reimbursing NSID the $20 bank fee incurred due to the dispute. This fee must be paid in full before the user can regain access to the NSID platform.
a. Submitting personal information on behalf of an athlete or minor.
All information submitted by a legal guardian on behalf of a child, or by a coach, administrator, or adult who has permission from the legal guardian, must be 100% accurate and honest. If inaccurate or false information is entered on behalf of a child, it may result in immediate suspension for further investigation. If it is determined that false information was submitted intentionally, the account of the individual who submitted the information may be permanently banned from NSID, and any associated child accounts containing false information will be suspended.
I am the parent or legal guardian of this child(ren) and/or have been granted permission by the parent or legal guardian to create account(s) and submit documentation for this player(s).
I declare under penalty of perjury (U.S. Code Title 28, Part V, Chapter 115, Section 1746) that all information is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand that anyone who knowingly provides false or misleading information (U.S. Code Title 18, Part I, Chapter 47, Section 1028) commits a crime punishable under federal law by fine, imprisonment, or both.
b. Registering for a Personal Account
When you register for a Personal Account on our website, you provide us with Personally Identifiable Information. This information allows us to identify you and also allows us to pre-populate information fields when you place an order. You warrant and represent that all Personally Identifiable Information that you provide to us is and will be truthful and accurate. You further represent, by providing any Personally Identifiable Information about a person under 18 years of age that you are that person’s parent or legal guardian or that you have obtained written consent from that person’s parent or legal guardian to provide the Personally Identifiable Information.
2. Joining a Team
When you create an account, we require you to provide Personally Identifiable Information. This information allows us to organize players onto teams and provide relevant content.
For your convenience, when you are placed on a team, we automatically establish your Personal Account where your information is saved.
3. Applying for Verification as a Coach
When you apply for coaching verification through National Sports ID, we require you to submit certain Personally Identifiable Information (PII), including but not limited to a headshot, government-issued ID, and consent for a background check.
This information is securely transmitted to our third-party background check service providers for the sole purpose of conducting a background search and generating a background report.
NSID does not review, interpret, or make any decisions based on the results of a background report. We act solely as a facilitator of this process. Background check results are shared directly with the applicable league, tournament, or organization for their independent review and decision-making regarding your coaching eligibility.
All eligibility decisions are made at the sole discretion of the organization requesting the background check, in accordance with their own internal policies and standards.
4. Use of Information
In general, we will only use the information you provide to us for the purpose for which such information was provided. For example, we will use the information provided for team names and game times. We may share such information with our third-party Service Providers as necessary. For example, we will share your Personally Identifiable Information with our credit card processor to process credit card transactions. We may also share your Personally Identifiable Information with registered team management so they can better manage the team and contact you if needed. Personally Identifiable Information of coaching applicants will be shared with applicable tournaments and leagues.
We may use adult user contact information to deliver information about NSID services, important account notices, and relevant partner offerings. NSID does not use children’s personal information for behavioral advertising or targeted marketing and does not send promotional communications directly to child accounts. Any communications relating to a child’s account are sent only to the verified parent or legal guardian associated with that account and are limited to account administration, verification status, safety, legal, or operational purposes.
Non-personal demographic and profile data is used to tailor your experience on our site, showing you content we believe may be of interest. This information may also be shared with advertisers on an aggregate, non-personal basis.
When NSID services are used by a league, tournament, or other organization, that organization is responsible for determining what data is collected and whether such collection complies with applicable laws, including COPPA. When NSID services are required by a partner organization, NSID acts solely as a processor and does not determine eligibility or participation requirements. NSID collects limited personal information solely to perform player verification services as directed by partner organizations or requested by parents.
If a parent or guardian wishes to request an alternative method to the standard NSID verification process, they must contact the director of the applicable league, tournament, or organization directly to determine whether any alternative verification options are available. NSID does not establish or approve eligibility exceptions or verification alternatives, as those determinations are made solely by the governing organization.
Data Access and Downloads
Authorized coaches and league or tournament directors may be permitted to view, print, or download Sports IDs, team rosters, and related player information for legitimate administrative purposes. By accessing or downloading such information, each coach or director acknowledges and agrees that they are solely responsible for safeguarding the data, limiting its use to legitimate league or tournament operations, and complying with all applicable privacy, child-protection, and data-security laws. NSID provides these tools solely as a service and assumes no liability for the handling, storage, distribution, or further use of any information once it has been downloaded or otherwise removed from NSID’s secure systems.
