Accepted Coach Certifications
National Sports ID has made its mission to stop cheating in youth sports to be sure we are not only teaching our youth the importance of following the rules but also providing a fair playing field for athletes to compete on. After almost 8 years of being the leader in youth sports age verification, we have found a lot of cheating and unfortunately 99% of the time, it is committed by the coach. NSID will now help youth sports tournament and league directors by providing a coach verification process, which will ensure all coaches meet the event’s requirements to participate in the event.
Tournament and League Directors can now make the new Coach Verification process mandatory for all coaches participating in the event. This means the team roster will not be verified till the coach completes the quick and easy process of identifying him or her and proving they have a valid coach certification from one of the many prestigious organizations we recommend. This process helps us identify the coach, verify the coach certification they have and help them think twice about cheating.
We Verify the Identity and Certification of Youth Sports Coaches
We have developed an easy way for a coach to submit a headshot photo, driver’s license, and proof of certification for youth sports coaches. Our streamlined online process is safe to use, as all documents that are uploaded are erased off our servers after they are verified. The security and safety of our users are our top priority and we take every measure possible to ensure that.
Once you complete the process and the review a verified sports id is issued. This can be viewed online at any time as well as be printed out if necessary. Once you get your verified sports id it is good for 365 days and will renew with no more documents to ever be uploaded except if your certification expires. Our sports id is being accepted by more and more sports organizations every day so don’t wait to get one.
NSID Verified Coaches MUST have a Valid Certification
NSID requires a coach to upload a headshot photo, driver’s license and proof of valid coach certification they have, which proves they have the credibility and knowledge of what it takes to be a youth sports coach. NSID does not do background checks but instead provides a process for a tournament or league director to make sure the coaches in the event have in fact completed the appropriate requirements to participate. This means the team roster will not become fully verified until the coach meets this requirement, therefore taking the cross-checking to see if the coach completed it away from the event director. NSID accepts the following coach certifications in order to get a verified Sports ID.
- Player’s Health
- USA Basketball
- Positive Coaching Alliance
- USA Football
- USA Baseball
- USA Lacrosse
